Manage Assignments

Open a team event schedule to change the volunteers assigned to each position.

Assignment actions

Depending on the current status, you can:

  • Send or resend a serving request.
  • Change the assigned volunteer.
  • Convert a proposed assignment to a direct assignment.
  • Cancel an assignment.
  • Fill a position after another volunteer declines.

Change a volunteer

Select the assignment action, choose another eligible member, review conflicts, and confirm. The affected volunteers receive notifications according to their preferences and the type of change.

Cancel an assignment

Cancel the assignment when the volunteer is no longer expected to serve. Cancellation preserves the history and frees the position for another person.

Resend versus remind

Resend a request when access to the original request may have been lost. Use a reminder when the original assignment remains valid and needs attention. Avoid repeatedly sending notifications over a short period.

All successful scheduling changes are recorded for accountability.
