Event Templates

Templates define the defaults for recurring weekly events, such as a Sunday service.

Create a template

  1. Open Event Management and select Event Templates.
  2. Select Create template.
  3. Enter the name and description.
  4. Choose the default weekday, start time, and duration.
  5. Choose a generation window of one, two, or three months.
  6. Choose whether generated events start as Draft or Published.
  7. Select the default teams.
  8. Save the template as Draft, Active, or Inactive.

Template statuses

  • Draft — still being prepared.
  • Active — available to generate and synchronize events.
  • Inactive — retained but not currently used for generation.

Generate or synchronize events

Open an active template and select Sync future events. Review the generation window and defaults before continuing.

The synchronization process avoids duplicating existing template events and leaves manually edited events unchanged when those protections are selected.

Weekly recurrence

The current template workflow supports weekly recurrence. Create individual events for patterns that do not fit the weekly template.

Review generated events and team schedules after synchronization, especially when template defaults have changed.
