Quick Start

This page covers the essentials for members and event managers. Follow these steps to start using Serve, then use the linked guides when you need more detail.

Administrators

This Quick Start does not cover administrator setup or access. See Admin Sign-in and MFA and the Administrator guides.

1. Accept your invitation and sign in

One Hope Serve is invite-only. Open the most recent invitation sent to your email address and follow its access link.

For future sign-ins:

  1. Open One Hope Serve.
  2. Enter the email address that was invited.
  3. Request a sign-in code.
  4. Enter the newest code from your email.

2. Check your dashboard and schedule

Open My Dashboard for assignments and requests that need attention. Then open My Schedule to review upcoming dates, teams, positions, and assignment statuses.

3. Respond to requests

Open My Requests and review the event, team, position, date, and time.

  • Select Accept to confirm the assignment.
  • Select Decline when you cannot serve.

Accepted assignments appear on My Schedule. A leader may also assign you directly, in which case no response is required.

4. Add dates when you are unavailable

From My Schedule, select Add unavailable date. Choose the date or range, specify whether you are unavailable all day, and save it. Team leaders will see a warning if they try to schedule you during that period.

5. Set up your profile and notifications

Open Profile from your profile menu. Confirm your name and mobile number, then choose whether Serve may notify you by email, text, or app notification. Text notifications require a valid U.S. mobile number and consent.

Event managers: create your first event

Event managers have all of the member features above plus Event Management.

  1. Open Event Management.
  2. Select Create event.
  3. Enter the name, date, start and end times, and location.
  4. Choose Draft while preparing the event or Published when it is ready.
  5. Select the teams that will serve.
  6. Create the event and review its team schedules.

Use an event template for a repeating weekly event rather than recreating the same defaults each time.
