What you can do in Serve¶
Serve connects church-wide events with the teams, positions, and volunteers needed for each event. You can use Serve to:
- Review and manage upcoming serving assignments across your teams.
- Accept or decline requests from team leaders.
- Get reminders for upcoming serving assignments.
- Provide blackout dates/times when you are unavailable.
- View published schedules.
How scheduling works¶
An event is a church-wide gathering or serving opportunity. Teams are added to an event, and each team builds its schedule using its positions and members.
An assignment connects a person to a team position for an event. A leader may send it as a request that needs a response or assign the person directly.
Serve is invite-only and intended for One Hope Church scheduling. Do not share schedules, member contact information, or screenshots outside their intended audience.
Role-Based Guides:¶
Volunteers View your schedule, respond to requests, set availability, and manage notifications. Team Leaders Manage members and positions, build schedules, and send serving requests. Event Managers Create events, select teams, and generate events from reusable templates. Administrators Manage access, teams, notifications, branding, retention, and system settings.
Your access may look different
One Hope Serve shows pages and actions based on your system role and team role. A person can have more than one roleāfor example, a team leader can also be a member and an event manager.
